I’ve got a question.
Where I come from, it’s inappropriate for guys to dance (Except for at least a semi-professional setting). The most dancing I’ve ever done involves waving a fist and jumping up and down. I’m not sure why it works this way, but dancing is like a feminine sort of thing for girls only.
Is this the way it works in other cultures too? What do you feel is an appropriate level of dancing for an average guy?
No it doesn’t…....In India guys dance as much as the girls do and it includes much more than the fist. In fact classical dances are performed by men too with specific steps.And moreover folk dances are performed by men too, which generally coincides with a festival of a community. But in discos its the same all over the world.

Well what u said may be happening in ur culture, but i just want to clarify that dance is not faminine sort of thing for girls, u take any dance pattern from salsa to hiphop, break to tango, all dance style involve equal participation from men and women. According to me dance is a mode where u can express your joy, happiness and express yourself. I come from india, but to whomsoever i said never told me that only gals dance in there culture, everyone like to dance, sing and juvinate. I would just like to conclude that dont mistake dance with a feminine practice, its a mode where u can convey urself.
